# Levels

> Reward members for taking part, with XP, level roles, and level up messages.

Levels give members XP for taking part in your server. The more they talk, the higher their
level climbs, and you can hand out roles as they go.

## Set it up from the dashboard

Everything on this page can be done through commands, but the dashboard is quicker and shows
you what you're changing as you change it.

## Level up messages

Level up messages use mira's [scripting system](/scripting/overview), so you can build them
with embeds, containers, and buttons.
